Meditation Verse: Psalm 14 “The Lord is my refuge.”
I am not a very patient person and at the moment I am desperate for the weather to improve so that I can get into my garden. The problem is that we live in a very wet and sometimes cold part of the country and last year, we made a conscious decision to encourage beasts and bugs into the garden to help the wildlife. My gardening sources are telling me to wait until the weather is consistently warmer as the bees and bugs will be taking refuge in the leaves etc. that are making the garden look such a mess. Should I wait another week, or should I risk it? Is the daily conversation in my head. Our world and our lives are not clean and tidy in fact they can be quite messy so thank goodness we can take refuge in the Lord! Maybe I will give the bees and bugs another couple of weeks refuge after all.
To go back to an old memory verse from Psalm 46 (KJV), “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
