Meditation Verse: Psalm 70 “You are my help.”

Sometimes it can be very hard to ask for help, especially if you are a control freak, like me.  Thanks to my left-sided weakness I often have to ask for help with tasks that I would have found easy a few years ago.  Thankfully I have a kind family who are happy to help with DIY tasks and lifting heavy things, but this doesn’t stop me wishing that I was more independent!  How amazing that our creator God is happy to help little old us, I’ve often referred to the Footsteps poem in my ponderings:

“My precious child, I love you

and I would never leave you.

During your times

Of trial and suffering

When you saw only one set

Of footprints in the sand…

It was then that I carried you.”

Despite my pride I can tell you that God has helped me even when I didn’t ask for it.  Don’t be afraid to ask for help, God is with you every step.  Psalm 16:8

“I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.”
