Meditation Verse: Psalm 65 “You crown the year with Your bounty.”

One of my favourite books of the last few years has been “Tales from an Undergardener” by Richard Littledale.  I often gift it to friends and family, and it always inspires me to spend more time in God’s creation.  As the weather improves and we welcome a little Spring sunshine, Mark and I are currently trying to wrestle the back garden into a place that we can enjoy over the summer.  This is a huge task this year as we lost the last part of summer and Autumn to illness and enforced rest.  However, we start again, and we’ve planted herbs and blueberries as well as flowers in the hope of some kind of harvest, I’ll be surprised if it’s a bounty but you never know! I was reading comments around the boy who shared his meagre picnic and fed 5,000, God takes what little we have and turns it to plenty, it seems.

Even if your garden, like mine, is more an abundance of weeds rather than produce, take time this week to appreciate God’s creation, the insects and bees love weeds as much as flowers!
