Meditation Verse: Psalm 58 “Surely there is a God?”

This is a difficult Psalm to read where David who is probably in exile at the time, cries out for Justice!  I have a poverty & justice Bible, and a good deal of this Psalm is highlighted.

Watching the News it can often be hard to see the injustice in various situations across our world so here is an Anglican prayer for peace:

“Almighty God,
from whom all thoughts of truth and peace proceed:
kindle, we pray, in the hearts of all, the true love of peace
and guide with your pure and peaceable wisdom
those who take counsel for the nations of the earth
that in tranquillity your kingdom may go forward,
till the earth is filled with the knowledge of your love;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.”

I pray that in knowing God you will have faith in an ultimate peace for All.
