Meditation Verse: Psalm 40 “You set my feet on a rock”
1 I waited patiently for the Lord;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
Well, I’m back again after an enforced period of rest which has been a bit disconcerting. This week’s psalm meditation is exactly what I need to hear at the moment, since I fell and broke my arm a couple of weeks ago, I’ve been a bit more careful about where I put my feet so it’s good to know that I have a firm place to stand. Unlike the Psalmist, I have not waited patiently (see my previous blog) but I believe the Lord still heard my cry and as I gently step back into my role, the blessings of Renew are a real balm to my frustrated soul. I have re-visited the A-Z of wellbeing and received so much from just reading the chapter on A for Acceptance, I’d recommend it to you. I’m also planning on taking part in our retreat Friday tomorrow, please do join us at the end of every month, the resources are on the website at https://www.renewwellbeing.org.uk/resources
