Meditation Verse: Psalm 6 “The Lord accepts my prayer.”

How lovely to know that the Lord hears our prayers, this doesn’t necessarily mean they will be answered in the way we wish but just to be heard is so important.  Here are some quotes from our Renew spaces:

“I have grown in confidence through a listening ear and a cup of coffee.”

“I don’t have anyone to talk to at home, I enjoy the conversations here and making new friends.”

“I wouldn’t have settled in Cardiff if it hadn’t been for Renew.  I’ve made some lovely friends, and you don’t have to be lonely when you come here.”

Before I joined Renew Wellbeing, I hadn’t realised how many people don’t talk to anyone else during the week which makes knowing you are heard by God even more important.  In Jeremiah 29 it says:

“¹² Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. ¹³ When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart,”

Please know that by being present in your Renew spaces you are honouring God and relieving loneliness in your local community.
