Weekly Meditation Verse: Psalm 124 “The trap is broken, we are free.”

The first half of the year is always busy as it seems that most of the conferences and events we attend are squashed into this time, it often leaves me feeling a bit stressed as I try to fit everything in whilst supporting my centres.  As I drove along the other day I realised that in trying to bring wellbeing to others, my own wellbeing was being compromised.  My trap is trying to achieve perfection and forgetting that what we offer is meant to be simple and sustainable, I wonder what your trap is?

Having taken time over the last few days to attend to my own wellbeing and spending time with God, I already feel much calmer and just today have re-connected with some hosts who I haven’t spoken to in a while which is an absolute joy!

A prayer from A-Z of Wellbeing, Ruth Rice Pg262

“Wait

For the Lord

But Lord, this is so hard

You do not know

How much I long

To see it happen straight away

Oh yes, I know

How hard it is to wait

I hear you say

I’ve waited

Am still waiting

For you to

Slow down

Show up

And pray

To come to me

To stay

Wait for me

As I wait for you

And I will take the weight

On me

And in this waiting room

You’ll be set free

From every weight

While you wait.”
