Weekly Meditation Verse: Psalm 123 “Our eyes look to the Lord.”
How often do you pause to take a proper look around you? My parents used to say that I walk around with my eyes shut, in other words I don’t pay attention! If I ever walk past you in the street, I’m not being rude, I’m probably concentrating on trying not to trip or thinking about what’s for tea that night!!
A friend of mine once encouraged me to look up to appreciate that breadth of the sky and then look down to appreciate the beauty in the small things such as the grass or a lazy bumblebee. Look up, look down – it really helps you to @takenotice. It’s also helpful to look to the Lord for reassurance, something I do often.
I Corinthians 2
“3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. 4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.”
