Weekly Meditation Verse: Psalm 88 “I cry out to you”

In the week when we said a final goodbye to Queen Elizabeth II, I’m sure a few of us
will have shed a tear and perhaps cried out. I had the privilege last week of laying
flowers in the memorial area of Green Park next to Buckingham Palace. It was amazing
to see the endless flowers and tributes from organisations alongside drawings from
children, jars of marmalade and Paddington bears. There was very little actual crying,
just a gentle hush. I read a child’s note which said “I’m sorry I didn’t pray hard enough
to make you better” my 5 year old niece told my mum she had been praying to ‘Him –
up there’ about the Queen too. In a time in history where everyone is trying to do
something meaningful, I would like to ask you to consider how you could make your
Renew spaces even more warm and welcoming over the coming winter months and we
