Meditation Verse: Psalm 74 “Yours is the day, yours is also the night.”
I am loving the warmer weather and the chance to spend more time in the garden. We inherited the garden from the previous owner who had packed every inch of border to the max with her taste in plants. This is the first time that we have wrestled it into shape and made it our own, part of the wrestling is due to neglect and the tonnes of weeds which had taken over, it’s been a big job but now we can enjoy it in the day and the evening. One addition we have made is a few solar lights and every night I take a chance to look out at the upper part of the garden which is bathed in a soft light show too. I give thanks to God every day and night for this newly found space of His creation which is full of life.
Earlier in the Psalm we read:
“1 The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it,
the world, and those who live in it;
2 for he has founded it on the seas,
and established it on the rivers.”
Try to catch a sunrise or a sunset at some point this week, remember the day and the night belong to Him.
