Meditation Verse: Psalm 67 “God makes His face shine on us.”
I had the joy of meeting a friend yesterday who I hadn’t seen in ages and to meet and have cuddles with her beautiful baby boy. As she cradled him and gazed at him adoringly, her face shone with love and joy, I guess this is how God looks on His children. The rest of my day was a bit more difficult and with 3 sick men in the house I felt my mood dropping. This morning as I sat in a sunny lounge with my morning meditation, I realised that there should be less self-imposed pressure to be the best version of myself and and more acceptance that in all moods God’s face shines on us as His beloved children.
Romans 8:
“38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
