Meditation Verse: Psalm 44 “You delight in us.”

I am very fortunate to have had a delightful weekend.  I visited the Church that I grew up in for their anniversary and caught up with loads of old friends.  As people gathered there were squeals of delight as old friends gradually saw through older appearances and recognised each other, it was just lovely.  I also visited one of our Northern Renew Churches on Sunday and experienced ‘breakfast church’ for the first time, I’m a big fan of that!  Again, more catching up was delightful, I was very blessed.  Now we’re back home and my house is full of sick men, not so delightful but tomorrow I get to join a few others at another Northern Renew Space for Retreat Friday see https://www.renewwellbeing.org.uk/resources for details.

There often is far less to delight in but how wonderful that God delights in us and our broken messiness.
