Meditation Verse: Psalm 37 “Dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness”

The very first line of this Psalm is “Do not fret”. I am a world-class fretter, always have been probably always will be, it can just take one misinterpretation of an email and off I go!  But we are encouraged by this week’s Psalm not to fret, so should I fret about fretting or just try and calm down?  It seems so obvious to rest in the Lord and be more faithful that everything is in His hands; so why is it so hard?  I guess, if David found it easy not to fret this Psalm wouldn’t be written and I think David had a lot more to worry about than I do!  So, I encourage you this week to join me in recognising when the fretting starts and to learn to befriend faithfulness.
