Advent Meditation Verse: Luke 2:10 Immanuel God with us – Good News!
This advent we will be meditating on the phrase “Immanuel God with us” all month, this week we read in Luke:
“8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
How amazing that in this little baby God came to be with us, no wonder the shepherds ran to Bethlehem to see for themselves. Perhaps during the cuteness of a nativity play you could pause to remember the real significance of the baby in the manger being God with us?
