Meditation Verse: Psalm 38 \u201cFor You Oh Lord do I wait\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Waiting is something I have been reminded of several times this year. It seems that every time I am given a verse by someone it has the word \u2018wait\u2019 in it. This can be very comforting and equally frustrating depending on circumstances. I am currently stuck at home nursing a broken arm because I was rushing on a busy London street and fell off a high kerb. First, I waited on the ground to see if I could get up, then I waited on a bench with my friend to see if my legs had stopped wobbling, then I waited at Euston for the assistance people to transport me to the train and then I waited for the delayed train to take me home to Manchester. Mark picked me up from the station and after a restless sleep took me to hospital to get checked out; the waiting really started as we spent the day shuffling between various waiting rooms and x-ray. Finally, Mark waited as I got the verdict and a temporary cast. Now we wait to see the fracture clinic in a week\u2019s time. It\u2019s all waiting for me now! I would love to say I was happy in the waiting but that would be a lie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I do think this is a time to reflect on priorities and managing my time better, I guess I have no option other than to wait on the Lord and trust that everything is in His timing. I hope that if you are waiting too, it may be a time of rest and blessing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
