Meditation Verse: Psalm 1 \u201c…like a tree planted by streams of water.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the business of December which I enjoy, January always arrives with a welcome fresh start for the new year. It\u2019s almost as if we\u2019ve been holding our breath and can finally breathe out and relax. This week\u2019s psalm with the image of a tree next to a stream drinking the water up into its roots and finding refreshment works well with my early January feeling. We cannot survive without water and constant refreshment, in Isaiah 44:3 it says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFor I will pour water on the thirsty land,
and streams on the dry ground;
I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring,
and my blessing on your descendants.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
