As I write this, I have just got back home after being on retreat with the Renew team in the Midlands. If you follow social media you will have seen that as well as spending quality time with God, we also had a lot of fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the full day together, we were encouraged to spend time on our own listening to God which sounds a bit scary! I guess we were being invited to take time out from our normally busy lives to dwell in God\u2019s presence. I was challenged to think around just one word \u2013 even scarier!! But you know, just taking the time to slow down with calm thoughts and an open heart meant that I dialled down the noise inside my own head and could see the direction that God was trying to point me in for the first time in ages. So maybe what I\u2019m saying is that if we slow down, God will show up and we will be able to take notice! (Sound familiar?)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
