Weekly Meditation Verse: Psalm 98 \u201cBreak forth in song\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As we begin this season of Advent, this week\u2019s Psalm led me to the first chapter of Luke where, having been visited by the Angel to be told she was to give birth to Jesus, she visits her cousin Elizabeth and in the joy of their greeting speaks out a song of praise to God also known as Mary\u2019s song or the Magnificat. She begins with \u201cMy soul magnifies the Lord\u201d, I\u2019m not sure that everyone would have reacted this way to such an unusual situation, but I guess we should follow Mary\u2019s lead this Christmas season. A friend recently introduced me to \u201cMary, did you know?\u201d by Pentatonix \u2013 take a listen and breath in the real meaning of the Nativity, maybe you will break forth in song too?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
