Meditation Verse: Psalm 68 \u201cGod sets the lonely in families.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the past decade I\u2019ve had quite the journey! At the start I was a very busy sales & marketing businesswoman with a seemingly glamorous and privileged lifestyle but with no-one to share it was really quite lonely. Now I have my lovely husband, Mark and 3 grown up stepchildren, not to mention the menagerie of cats. Life is more about family these days and less about a spotless house and lots of holidays. I am much happier despite the messiness of family life. It took 17 years of being on my own to finally reach this point so I\u2019d say never give up on this week\u2019s verse. I\u2019m also so thankful for my Renew family who hold me up and encourage me every week and I\u2019m delighted to see little pockets of Renew-style families continuing to pop up across our nations. If you are hosting a Renew space, bless you as you create a family for the loneliest and isolated in society. God sets the lonely in families but it\u2019s our role to welcome them in our simple Renew way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As it says in John 13:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
