Meditation Verse: Psalm 61 \u201cLead me to the rock that is higher than I.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This week\u2019s Psalm is another cry for help to God, the Psalmist is looking for refuge, protection and strength \u2013 all themes that we have seen before. I\u2019m encouraged that it\u2019s ok to ask for help again and again, there doesn\u2019t seem to be a limit. I guess that our prayer life is an ongoing conversation with God and themes will emerge, I find myself often asking God for \u201cthe right words\u201d to deal with different situations so that I can encourage and remain calm when listening to other\u2019s anxious thoughts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m not a rock climber but I have experienced views from a higher place thanks to a lift or a set of stairs, it\u2019s interesting how different a landscape can look from a higher vantage point, for example the streets of Paris are busy and chaotic but from the top of the Eiffel Tower there is a calm beauty in the layout of the city with it\u2019s river and green spaces. Sometimes it\u2019s good to remember that we are part of a much bigger picture, and that God is with us in both the busyness and the serene moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
